1. Purpose

These Terms of Use define the rules for accessing and using NeuroVox, a real-time AI-powered voice and text translation bot for Discord, accessible via the Discord platform and the website neuro-vox.online.

By using the NeuroVox bot or accessing the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

These Terms of Use supplement the Terms of Service which govern commercial and payment aspects.

2. Access to the Service

Using NeuroVox requires a valid Discord account. No additional registration is needed for the free plan — simply invite the bot to your Discord server.

To access paid features (Starter, Pro, Server plans), you must sign in via Discord OAuth2 at neuro-vox.online/dashboard.

You must be at least 13 years old (Discord's minimum age requirement) or the minimum legal age in your country of residence.

3. Service Description

NeuroVox provides the following features:

  • Real-time voice translation: the bot joins a Discord voice channel, listens to participants and translates their speech into the target language.
  • Text translation via emoji reactions: react with a flag emoji (🇫🇷, 🇬🇧, 🇪🇸, etc.) on any message to translate it instantly.
  • Bot commands: prefix (!) and slash (/) commands to manage translations, languages and settings.
  • Web dashboard: subscription management, history and settings on the website.

4. Rules of Use

By using NeuroVox, you agree to:

  • Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
  • Not use the service to translate, transmit or distribute illegal, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing or pornographic content.
  • Not attempt to bypass free plan limitations (multiple accounts, automated scripts, etc.).
  • Not use the bot for espionage, non-consensual surveillance or recording conversations without participants' consent.
  • Not intentionally overload the service (abusive requests, command spam).
  • Not attempt unauthorized access to NeuroVox systems, servers or data.
  • Not resell, redistribute or sublicense access to the service.

5. User-Generated Content

NeuroVox translates voice and text content provided by users. You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the service for translation.

NeuroVox does not moderate content translated in real time but reserves the right to suspend access for any user whose content violates these Terms or Discord's policies.

6. Voice Data and Privacy

  • Voice data is processed in real time and is never permanently stored.
  • Audio is converted to text (via OpenAI Whisper), translated, then converted to speech synthesis. Temporary audio files are deleted immediately after playback.
  • No voice recordings are kept, rented or sold to third parties.
  • Text transcriptions may be displayed in the Discord text channel for user convenience.

7. Suspension and Termination

NeuroVox reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service, without notice or refund, in the following cases:

  • Violation of these Terms or the Terms of Service.
  • Abusive or fraudulent use of the service.
  • Behavior contrary to Discord Community Guidelines.
  • Attempting to bypass technical limitations.
  • Upon request from a competent authority.

You may stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server and canceling your subscription if applicable.

8. Intellectual Property

The NeuroVox service, including its code, design, text, logos and content, is protected by intellectual property law. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification or redistribution is prohibited.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the service for translation. No ownership rights to user content are transferred to NeuroVox.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The service is provided "as is." NeuroVox does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of translations.
  • NeuroVox shall not be held liable for decisions made based on a translation (professional, medical, legal, etc.).
  • NeuroVox cannot be held responsible for temporary interruptions due to maintenance, updates or force majeure.
  • NeuroVox cannot be held responsible for user behavior on Discord servers.

10. Changes to Terms

NeuroVox reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes via the official Discord server or by email. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts.
