What is NeuroVox?
A voice translation bot for Discord channels. It transcribes speech, translates the text and reads the result aloud in the channel.
How do I install it?
Invite the bot to a server you can manage. Sign in on the site, join voice chat and run !join. Use !help for available commands.
Does everyone need to install the bot?
No, invite the bot once per server. Translation access depends on each user's plan or the access configured through Server.
Does translation work in both directions?
Yes. Configure both pairs with !lang en fr and !lang fr en. Each speaker needs the appropriate translation access.
Which languages are included?
Free includes French, English, Spanish, German and Portuguese. Paid plans provide access to the 30 languages configured in the bot.
What happens after my 15 free minutes?
Translation is limited once the daily quota is used. Return after the reset or choose a higher plan. The free plan never starts an automatic payment.
How does the paid trial work?
Eligible new customers can get 7 days on a monthly subscription. Stripe requests a payment method and charges after the trial unless you cancel. Annual billing is upfront with no trial.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, through your dashboard and the Stripe portal. Check the access end date and your subscription terms before confirming.
Which permissions are needed?
You need permission to invite the bot. It needs access to relevant channels, to read and send messages, to connect to voice and to speak. Discord shows the exact list before authorization.
What happens to audio and transcripts?
The service processes audio, text and synthesized speech; histories or recaps may be available depending on settings. See the privacy policy and contact support for retention periods and providers.
Is translation instant?
It is designed for live conversations. Delay depends on sentence length, network and voice services; no fixed latency is guaranteed.
What if translation fails?
Check bot permissions, languages and quota with !status and !languages. Retry a short sentence, then contact Discord support if the problem persists.
