How to translate voice on Discord

Start with one direction

Sign in with Discord, invite the bot to a server you can manage and join a voice channel. Run !join in a text channel, then !lang en fr for English to French. Say a short English sentence and listen for the French translation. The activation guide waits for a confirmed spoken translation, not just a button click.

Add the return direction when needed

To translate French back to English, also add !lang fr en. The one-argument form of !lang sets a target; using both codes makes the intended pair explicit. Each speaker needs suitable access. If the test fails, use !status, !languages and the Discord support link rather than repeating an unsuccessful checkout.
