Discord Translation Bot Setup Guide: From Install to First Translation

Setting up a translation bot on Discord doesn't have to be complicated. This guide will walk you through installing NeuroVox, configuring it for your server, and making your first voice translation — all in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Invite NeuroVox. Go to neuro-vox.online and click 'Add to Discord'. Select the server where you want to install the bot. You need Administrator or Manage Server permissions. Click Authorize, complete the captcha, and the bot appears in your server.

Step 2: Join a voice channel. Connect to any voice channel in your server, just like you would for a regular call. Then go to any text channel and type !join. NeuroVox will join the same voice channel you're in.

Step 3: Set your language. Type !lang followed by your language code. For example: !lang en for English, !lang fr for French, !lang es for Spanish, !lang ja for Japanese. The bot will confirm your language setting.

Step 4: Start speaking. That's it — just talk normally. NeuroVox will transcribe your speech, translate it, and play the audio translation in the voice channel. The text translation also appears in the text channel for reference.

Pro tips: Use !mute to temporarily stop the bot from translating your voice (useful when talking to someone in the same language). Use !unmute to re-enable translation. Use !leave to make the bot leave the voice channel when you're done.

Troubleshooting: If the bot doesn't respond, make sure it has permissions to read messages and connect to voice channels. If audio quality is low, check your Discord voice settings. For the best experience, use a headset to avoid echo.
